Position # 20309 – The Jodrey School of Computer Science and Ivan Curry School of Engineering invite applications from qualified candidates for a tenure-track position commencing on or after December 1, 2021, at the Assistant Professor level. The candidate will be a member of both units (60% CS, 40% Engineering) with the Jodrey School of Computer Science as their home department.
An overall ability to contribute to the dynamic teaching and research culture of both Schools is important, with the successful candidate being comfortable with the overlap between engineering and computer science. Teaching commitments will focus on software engineering, digital systems, and other fields that overlap between the two units, as well as other unit needs. The candidate should have a strong interest in pedagogy at all levels. The candidate will also be expected to develop an externally funded research program, supervise MSc and undergraduate students, and make contributions to both Schools, the university, and the broader community. Evidence of a strong commitment to both teaching and research is required.

Qualifications: A PhD in Computer Science or a PhD in Engineering (Software Engineering or Computer/Electrical Engineering) and be eligible/registered for P.Eng licensing.
