The School of Business at Royal Roads University (RRU) is seeking assistant/associate/full professor with passion for teaching, academic administration and a promising program of research.
We are growing our existing programs and introducing exciting new programs at the masters and doctorate level. We are seeking faculty who can help us provide top-quality, research-informed education, in service of achieving the RRU vision of enacting real-world change. RRU is a designated Ashoka Changemaker Campus committed to the “Everyone a Changemaker” vision, empowering faculty, staff, and students to explore making positive social change in their professional and personal communities.
We are looking for candidates who can make a valuable contribution to the practice of management, with an area of expertise in one (or more) of the following: corporate social responsibility & social innovation, business strategy, communication and academic writing in a business school context, strategic HRM, international business, responsible management, or statistics and quantitative research methods.
Candidates with a strong or primary interest in academic administration are also sought.
Located on one of Canada’s most beautiful campuses just outside Victoria, British Columbia, RRU is the only public university in Canada focused primarily on the needs of working professionals. Our innovative programs, anchored with an applied relevance, are delivered through either traditional face-to-face, online or blended learning, a combination of enriched web-based learning and short on-campus residencies.

• Master’s required. Doctoral degree, or working towards one, preferred
• Demonstrated teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate level (employing adult learning and applied learning principles) in the applicable field of management, in both face-to-face and on-line environments with both domestic and international students
• Experience in the business community, and ability to develop networks of high-level contacts
• Experience in curriculum design and development
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary outcomes-based curriculum
• Experience in intercultural education at the post-secondary level
• Track record in research with an emphasis on practical application preferred
• Experience in managing a field of study within a university setting, and in leading a team of faculty members
• Familiarity with, or interest in, Internet-based distance education
• Experience and/or interest in academic administration and leadership would be an asset
In addition to a collegial learning community, RRU offers a comprehensive compensation package, with a starting salary and academic rank based on qualifications and experience. This is an initial five-year appointment with the possibility of conversion into a continuing appointment, subject to performance and program needs.
