The College of Pharmacy, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, Canada invites applications for a full-time, tenure track/tenured position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor (Position 25708). We are seeking a faculty member with experience in evidence-based medicine, scientific literature evaluation, and either research methods or biostatistics.

The ideal candidate must have a clinical degree (such as a post-baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy – PharmD or MD) or a Ph.D. in the Health Sciences with relevant teaching and research experience. Post-doctoral training or fellowship experience would be an asset. The successful candidate will be required to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as supervise graduate students. The applicant must have an active research agenda and ability to participate in independent and/or team-based research. The College of Pharmacy supports research in basic and pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacoepidemiology, clinical pharmacy, and pharmacy practice. The individual will be expected to provide service to the College of Pharmacy and the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences (RFHS). Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The College of Pharmacy is located in a state-of-the-art 90 000 sq. feet Apotex Centre on the Bannatyne Campus at the University of Manitoba. There are significant opportunities for collaboration within Pharmacy and other Health Science Colleges. The Manitoba Centre for Health Policy (MCHP), in the Max Rady College of Medicine, provides access to a world-class population-based research unit, with a rich data repository, that includes person-level health, pharmaceutical and social services data for the entire population of Manitoba. The MCHP is a site of the Canadian Network for Observational Drug Effect Studies (CNODES), with a formal affiliation and collaboration with members of the College of Pharmacy. The Vaccine and Drug Evaluation Centre, part of the Department of Community Health Sciences, is housed in the Apotex Centre and offers unique research opportunities.
