The School of Engineering at the University of British Columbia, Okanagan invites applications for a tenure track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. We welcome applicants from fields related to health technology and engineering. The successful candidate will join the Mechanical Engineering group within the School of Engineering. We are seeking applicants in the area of health technology and engineering. Desirable research expertise includes medical device design and development, clinical engineering, wearable technology, rehabilitation engineering, mobile health, digital health, biomedical signal processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data analytics in the health sector.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a related field. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a research program, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise Master’s and Ph.D. students, and provide service to the University and the community. The successful candidate will also be expected to be registered, or be eligible to register as a Professional Engineer, with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (www.egbc.ca). Undergraduate teaching will primarily take place in the Mechanical undergraduate program.
