Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream - Astronomy – Planetary Science
The Division of Natural Science, Department of Science and Technology Studies, Faculty of Science, York University, invites applications for a teaching-stream tenure-track position in Astronomy – Planetary Science at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream. A Ph.D. in Astronomy, or a related field, with expertise in planetary science is required, as is a demonstrated ability to teach science to non-science majors at the university level. Experience communicating science to non-science individuals is an asset. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching university-level courses and have a strong commitment to pedagogy and student success and the capacity to bring theoretical and practical orientation to general education science teaching.
