Tenure Track Appointment in Human Physiology/ Exercise Physiology

Position #30327 – The School of Kinesiology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor effective July 1, 2022.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Kinesiology or related field with a focus on the physiology of human movement (e.g. human physiology, exercise physiology, environmental physiology, cardiovascular physiology, respiratory physiology). Expertise in human physiology and exercise physiology is required. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in applied human physiology and they will also teach elective courses in Kinesiology based on interest and expertise as well as School needs.
Possession of professional Kinesiology certifications from organizations such as the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) or equivalent would be valuable. Postdoctoral work and previous undergraduate university teaching experience will be considered assets. Candidates who are very near completion of their Ph.D. are also encouraged to apply.

An overall ability to contribute to the collaborative and dynamic teaching and research culture in the School is essential. The successful applicant will collaborate with the faculty and contribute to broaden the work of the School of Kinesiology and could also contribute to the Centre of Lifestyle Studies. The successful candidate is expected to become an excellent teacher, develop an externally funded research program, mentor students, and contribute to community engagement and service activities.
