Biology Ecology Instructor

The Department of Biology at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Instructor to begin Jan 1, 2020. The main role of the Instructor is to support the work of the Department through laboratory and teaching assignments. Specifically, this position has the primary responsibility for teaching the core second-year Laboratory in Ecology and core second-year Laboratory in Biological Diversity. An upper-level course consistent with the academic strengths of the successful applicant will also be assigned.
Applicants with a PhD in biology or related discipline are preferred, but strong candidates with a Master’s degree at the position starting date will be considered. Prior undergraduate teaching or laboratory experience, especially in equivalent laboratory courses, will be an asset. Candidates that have evidence of an engaging, active-learning approach to education are especially encouraged to apply.
