About CIUSSS West-Central Montreal (Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux du Centre-Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal).
CIUSSS West-Central Montreal is a healthcare and social services network affiliated with McGill University. It consists of a wide range of sites, including the Jewish General Hospital (JGH), an acute-care facility that is internationally renowned for the quality of its care and for research. Also located in the CIUSSS are six long-term care centres, five CLSCs, and five rehabilitation sites. The needs of patients, clients and residents are the primary focus throughout the CIUSSS—a priority shared by all members of staff. All of the member facilities work together as an integrated network to provide expertise and support wherever needed.
The JGH has a long history as a globally recognized health care centre providing excellence in clinical care, innovation, and research. Within this network, the successful candidate will have ample opportunity to play a key role in supporting the continuum of care for patients.

Description of the position
CIUSSS West-Central Montreal is seeking an individual to serve as Chief of Psychiatry to lead the clinical, educational, research and innovation activities of the department. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Working collaboratively within the framework of the CIUSSS Mental Health Directorate to implement the mental health mission in the CIUSSS West-Central territory.
- Enhancing the CIUSSS West-Central mental health mission through research, innovation, and educational initiatives.
- Actively lead the diverse recruitment, development and mentoring of Department members to achieve their full potential.
- Engaging in collaborative clinical, administrative, and academic activities between different community partners, departments, and inter-professional colleagues.

Candidates are expected to have leadership experience in academic clinical settings, proven academic leadership in their field, good knowledge of the Quebec health care system and possess a Quebec medical license in psychiatry (or eligible for licensure).
