Continuing Faculty Position – Lecturer in Psychology

The Department pf Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Simon Fraser University (SFU) invites applications for one continuing faculty position at the rank of Lecturer to begin as early as July 1, 2020. We are seeking candidates who have an interest and a demonstrated ability in teaching courses at the undergraduate level. The ideal applicant will have experience teaching large classes in Introductory Psychology and in Research Methods. Experience teaching upper-division courses would be an asset. Applicants should be familiar with delivering blended or online courses, and should be knowledgeable about curriculum development and learning outcomes within psychology. They should provide evidence of educational leadership, or the potential for leadership. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at any of SFU’s three metro-Vancouver campuses (Burnaby, Surrey, and downtown Vancouver). Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Psychology (any APA Division) by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter. This is an entry-level position. Only those holding or those eligible to be promoted to the rank will be considered.
