About the Faculty
The Faculty of Applied Health Sciences is home to over 100 faculty members, 4000 undergraduate and 250 graduate students in five departments. Kinesiology, Nursing, Health Sciences, Recreation and Leisure Studies and Sport Management.
About the Position
The Faculty of Applied Health Sciences and Department of Nursing at Brock University are pleased to invite PhD prepared nurses, to submit an application for a full-time, probationary tenure-track or tenured position at the rank of Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor, in Nursing, for a start date of January 1, 2024.
The successful applicant for this position will support teaching needs in the undergraduate and graduate programs. The successful applicant will have one graduate degree in nursing and a completed PhD, Preference will be given to applicants with post-doctoral training. The successful applicant must show a strong commitment to Primary Health Care principles, diversity, equity and inclusion, have a proven record of accomplishment of excellence in teaching, course development knowledge and experience, and successful student supervision at undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants must have evidence of a well-developed and established program of research, including competitive grant funding, and a strong peer-reviewed publication records of accomplishment. The applicant should have excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to establish positive interpersonal relationships, collaborate with peers and provide evidence of relevant clinical experiences. Clinical background in pediatrics, obstetrics, mental health, or med/surg would be an asset. Applicants must be Registered Nurses, holding a current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing, or evidence of eligibility to obtain registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario prior to hire.
