Faculty Lecturer Position in Japanese Language
Department of East Asian Studies, McGill University

The Department of East Asian Studies, McGill University, invites applications for a full-time position of Faculty Lecturer (Contract Academic Staff) in Japanese Language beginning August 1, 2022 and ending July 31, 2025. The appointment may be renewed subject to performance review in the final year.

Minimum qualifications are a MA in linguistics, applied linguistics, and/or foreign language education. Applicants should have extensive experience teaching Japanese and an excellent teaching record at the college level, as well as interest in upper-level instruction in translation. Candidates should be able to teach Japanese language courses at all levels and should possess native or near-native fluency in Japanese with an excellent command of English. Knowledge of French is an asset. Applicants must complete the online application form. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
