Faculty position in Marketing - Telfer School of Management

University of Ottawa

The Telfer School of Management of the University of Ottawa invites applications for a tenure-track Associate or Full Professor position in Marketing commencing July 1, 2020.

Areas of Expertise:
Applications are invited from candidates with the ability to provide quality teaching and maintain an active research agenda in any area of marketing. However, preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Digital Marketing or Marketing Analytics.

Title of the Position:
Professor in Marketing at the rank or Associate of Full Professor. The rank is commensurate with experience. Exceptionally, candidates may be considered at the Assistant Professor rank.

Tenure-track position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Experienced scholars with a demonstrated track record may be considered for a professorship and/or a privately funded chair.

Duties of a faculty member will include in varying proportions: a) teaching activities; b) scholarly activities; c) academic service activities; and d) supervision of graduate students.

Education: Ph.D. in Marketing or a related discipline.
Language: English or French. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to conduct research in English and teach in both languages.

Salary & Benefits Package:
Salaries are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience where Associate Professor salaries typically range between $140,000 and $165,000 per year and Full Professors between $165,000 and $195,000 per year. Professorships and Chairs can carry additional stipends, a reduced teaching load and/or research funds. The University of Ottawa provides a complete and generous compensation package which includes long-term disability, basic group life insurance, supplementary health insurance, a University of Ottawa defined benefits pension plan, optional life insurance and funds for reimbursement of eligible moving expenses. The School also offers a start-up period with a reduced teaching load and start-up funding for research.

The Telfer School of Management has obtained accreditation from all three major international sanctioning bodies: AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.
