This CAS appointment comprises two main roles: Program Director of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Faculty Lecturer.

As Program Director of the MBA, the appointee will oversee non-academic elements related to the program. This includes cooperating with staff in student recruitment, admissions, advising, career placement, etc. They will help build and foster industry partnerships and liaise with alumni around events such as the Desautels Cup case competition and annual events in Montreal and Toronto. They may also contribute to delivering management courses that the Faculty offers at the undergraduate and graduate levels. A typical full-time CAS appointment presumes a teaching load of seven three-credit courses or 21 credits in total, with course releases granted for administrative responsibilities.

The candidate must have earned a master’s degree (MBA is preferable) and acquired at least 5 years of work experience. They should have extensive experience overseeing project teams and working with internal and external stakeholders on developing and launching products or programs. The successful candidate will also be expected to make substantive contributions through service to the Faculty, the University, and/or the broader community through extra-curricular activities delivered throughout the year. The start date for the appointment will be August 1, 2023.

A CAS appointment will hold a position in one of the Faculty’s seven academic areas: Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Organizational Behaviour, or Strategy. Applicants with an interest in any of these areas will be considered.
