University of New Brunswick Saint John

The Department of Humanities and Languages at the University of New Brunswick Saint John invites applications for an 8 month term position in French at the rank of Instructor. The appointment will commence on August 26, 2019 and is subject to budgetary approval.

The qualifications for appointment at the Instructor level include a Master’s Degree in French and fluency in French. The candidate must also have experience in teaching French as a second language. Familiarity with multi/sectional courses and on-line assisted learning (Quia) is desirable. The successful candidate will be part of the language discipline and a small team of academics teaching undergraduate courses in French and Spanish, and teach 4 courses per term to beginner, intermediate, and immersion students using computer technology and team-based learning/collaborative learning approaches.

Letters of application must include a cover letter, current curriculum vitae, statement reviewing research interests, evidence of teaching effectiveness (ie. teaching dossier), and three academic letters of reference.
