The Department of Computer Science invites applications for a full-time position at the Instructor I level, commencing July 1, 2020, or on a mutually agreed upon date. The Department seeks an emerging scholar with a commitment to excellence in teaching and pedagogical development, however exceptional candidates at all levels will also be considered. Outstanding candidates in any area of Computer Science will be considered. Preference will be given to those with teaching experience and Ph.D (preferred) or M.Sc. or other distinguishing attributes in Computer Science or a related field. Duties may include undergraduate teaching, including live lecture, on-line and distance delivery formats, pedagogical/course development and assessment, and service-related activities. The successful candidate will have a track record of outstanding teaching contributions and course development, and will exhibit evidence of the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

The Department currently has twenty-seven full time tenured and tenure track faculty members and seven Instructors, and offers a full range of both undergraduate and graduate programs in Computer Science. The Department has a well-established and equipped research facility, and is supported by strong research links with other University of Manitoba departments.
