Position Number 26548

The Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba is seeking applications for a full‐time probationary anatomy Instructor I or II commencing as early as October 1, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The department seeks applicants who possess a PhD or an MSc degree in Anatomical Sciences (individuals with professional credentials such as MD, PT, AT may be also considered), and demonstrated experience teaching in practical, dissection-based laboratory courses of human gross anatomy and neuroanatomy in medical, dental, biomedical science and allied health professional programs (such as medical rehabilitation, physician assistants, pharmacy, or kinesiology).

The successful candidate is expected to teach and be actively involved in dissection and prosection-based gross anatomy and neuroanatomy courses to a diverse group of trainees within different undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs across the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences. He/she must possess significant experience in anatomical dissection and evidence of outstanding teaching of human anatomy at both the undergraduate and graduate/postgraduate levels in large group and/or small group settings. The successful candidate will play a central role in all gross anatomy and neuroanatomy teaching across the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, will be expected to oversee and actively engage in the preparation and maintenance of anatomical specimens in support of all laboratory-based teaching, and assist in new gross anatomy and neuroanatomy teaching initiatives in postgraduate education. Additional experience in course administration, curriculum development, or models of online learning would be an asset.
