The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New Brunswick Saint John invites applications for a 9 month limited term Instructor or Senior Instructor appointment in statistics, commencing August 19, 2019. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.

The successful candidate must have a master’s degree in Statistics, though preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. (or near completion) in Statistics, and/or experience teaching university level Statistics.

The Mathematics and Statistics Department consists of seven full-time faculty members. We offer Majors in Mathematics and in Statistics and maintain a graduate programme. UNB Saint John has a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and training. The successful applicant will be expected to teach introductory and senior level undergraduate courses in statistics. Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating excellence in teaching and potential for undergraduate project supervision.

Applications should include (a) a cover letter, (b) curriculum vitae, (c) evidence of teaching effectiveness not to exceed five pages, and (d) three letters of reference, with at least one letter addressing the applicant's teaching ability and experience.
