The Department of Business & Administration in the Faculty of Business & Economics at The University of Winnipeg invites applications for a continuing appointment Instructor position in Accounting. Expected start date is July 1, 2019 and is subject to budgetary approval. Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Business & Administration Department (http://www.uwinnipeg.ca/business) is among the largest in the University. It offers both a 3-year and 4-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree based on an innovative interdisciplinary approach to business education emphasizing social and ethical responsibility. The 4-year BBA provides concentration options, and Accounting is the largest of these.
Candidates require a Master’s degree in Accounting (or MBA or MSc.) with professional experience in accounting and a professional designation (CPA formerly a CA, CMA, or CGA).
Selection will be based on potential and/or demonstrated strength in teaching and service. Teaching responsibilities may include online course development and delivery. We seek individuals committed to meaningful contribution to Departmental governance, respectful collaboration within and across the University, and constructive problem-solving. Liaison on behalf of the Department with local and regional professional accounting associations (e.g., CPA MB and CPA Western School of Business) is required.
