J0421-1564 --The School of Business at the University of the Fraser Valley invites applicants for a Sessional Faculty position in Marketing.
The School of Business develops individuals to achieve leadership, management, global citizenship, and employability potential through business-relevant, research-informed education. The school offers degree, diploma, and certificate programs. Its Bachelor of Business Administration program is internationally recognized as one of the best business programs and accredited by EFMD.
The School of Business invites applicants qualified to teach the following courses:
BUS 120: Essentials of Marketing
BUS 221: Professional Selling
BUS 226: Economic and Business Statistics
BUS 320: Business Research Methods
BUS 421: International Marketing
Applicants are generally required to have (1) a Master’s degree and at least five years of relevant industry experience, or (2) a DBA or PhD degree in a relevant discipline. Applicants with relevant industry experience, demonstrated excellent teaching experience from a recognized post-secondary institution, and a DBA or PhD degree from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited institution are given priority.
Relevant post-doctoral or industrial experience is highly desirable. Applicants with demonstrated, effective teaching experience relevant to their topic area in both face to face and online instruction will be given priority.

Applications must include a letter of application (cover letter), curriculum vitae, three letters of reference, a one-page statement of teaching philosophy and (if available) recent teaching evaluations. Applicants may submit up to three samples of scholarly work in support of their application.
Applicants need not identify their country of origin or citizenship; however, all applications must include the following two statements in their cover letter: (a) I am legally authorized to work in Canada”; or, “I am not legally authorized to work in Canada”, and (b) “I am a Canadian citizen/permanent resident of Canada”; or, “I am not a Canadian citizen/permanent resident of Canada.” Applications that do not include this information will be deemed incomplete.
