Lab Instructor (Tourism), Full-Time, Tourism and Hospitality Management

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field and teaching experience in food service, and/or restaurant operations. The successful applicant will teach a variety of food-based labs in our Tourism degree including assisting students in operating a restaurant on selected days and nights. Teaching experience at the university level is important, along with experience in budgeting, procurement, financial reporting, and inventory control. Ability to deliver managerial level food safety and certification in a responsible beverage program would be considered assets.
Workload includes teaching and collegial service while maintaining research currency. The Department of Business and Tourism prides itself on its student engagement efforts and the successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active role in contributing to this initiative.
