Acadia University

Position #30305 CLT: This is a 9.5 month contractually limited term (CLT) position, starting August 1st, 2021 and ending May 15, 2021. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree and/or doctoral degree in community development or in an allied field with substantial professional experience. Those with a substantial and relevant professional and university teaching experience are encouraged to apply. This position is subject to budgetary approval.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable commitment and successful university teaching experience at the undergraduate level that integrates theory with experiential education and community engagement. The successful candidate teaching responsibilities will include core and elective courses in the Bachelor of Community Development. Possible courses to a maximum of five may include core courses such as: Community Program Design (CODE 3023), Sustainable Community Development (CODE 2033) and Community and Professional Engagement (CODE 4059). One or more elective courses may be included in the course load. Commensurate with interests and experience, the successful candidate will also fulfill service roles that contribute positively to the Community Development Department.
