Limited Term Appointment in Operations and Decision Sciences

The Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for two one-year Limited Term Appointments in the ODS area, with an expected starting date of September 1, 2020. The teaching load for this position is six one-term courses. The position is subject to budgetary approval.
Applicants shall possess a PhD in a relevant discipline, with strong preference given to a specialization in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Management Science, or Industrial Engineering. Applicants should have the ability to incorporate an understanding of applying tools and techniques of management science into traditional business courses. Applicants should have a strong teaching record or potential for teaching excellence and be willing to take on service responsibilities within the ODS program. Course to be taught in the position include:
• Business Decision Models (BU275)
• Fundamentals of Operations (BU225)
• Operations Management (BU375)
• Introduction to Applied Statistics (EC205)
• Managerial Statistics (EC255)
Previous university-level experience teaching in a large class format in a business school environment would be desirable, as would experience in course coordination. Applicants should have the experience and/or ability to teach in person and remotely. Relevant business work experience is also an asset.
