Processing Archivist (Librarian I)

The John M. Kelly Library seeks an archivist (maximum of 2 years of full-time professional experience in archives) for the position of Processing Archivist. The Archivist will work to ensure that the Henri J.M. Nouwen archival holdings of the Archival and Manuscript Collections are made available for research and teaching in accordance with professional archival standards and practices.
This is a 12 month contractually limited term appointment beginning October 19, 2020.
Reporting to the Chief Librarian, Kelly Library, and working closely with the Kelly Library Archivist, the Processing Archivist is responsible for the preservation, arrangement and description of the Henri Nouwen archival fonds and for collaborating with technical services staff for support to digitize materials where permitted.
The primary focus of the position will be to reduce the backlog of Henri J. M. Nouwen related archival accessions and to integrate existing collections with finding guides and resources available on Discover Archives.
