Tenure Track Assistant Teaching Professor Early Childhood Education

The Faculty of Education at the University of New Brunswick invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor in Early Childhood Education. The start date for this position is January 1, 2024, and is subject to final budgetary approval.
Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a Master's in Education (PhD in Education is preferred), with experience in the curriculum areas of assessment and math and with a particular focus on elementary numeracy. They will have significant experience with the Early Childhood Education Curriculum in New Brunswick and be familiar with the Early Learning Centres located in the Maritimes.
The applicant must demonstrate excellence in their teaching. Experience teaching in K-3 is required, as is leadership experience in a New Brunswick school setting. Experience teaching in an international context will be considered an asset.
We are seeking someone who will take a leadership role in the design and delivery of the ECE BED online courses and will provide primary instruction in the curricular areas of numeracy and instructional pedagogy. Therefore, experience teaching online is required. Ideally, the successful candidate will also have experience in, and familiarity with, early learning methodologies in assessment and evaluation and project learning.

The Faculty of Education offers graduate and undergraduate programs (both online and face-to-face) for a wide variety of learners and educational contexts. The Faculty is active in international programs and has been highly successful in obtaining research grants and contracts. Fredericton, New Brunswick, is located by the Saint John River, has many kilometres of walking trails and a very active arts community.
