Tenure Track or Tenured Faculty Position in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery

The School of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track or tenured position in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical and didactic teaching in oral surgery at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop a viable and productive research program, for which start-up funds will be available.

Candidates will have graduated from an accredited DDS/DMD program or equivalent and have postgraduate and clinical qualifications in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Candidates must be eligible for licensure by the Alberta Dental Association and College (ADA&C). Completion of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) Fellowship examination in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery is preferred. There may be time allocated to private practice (if applicable).

Hiring preference will be given to candidates possessing an excellent record of publication in reputable, peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Consideration will be given to applicants who have demonstrated the impact of their research, who provide evidence of established teaching skills, and who have a demonstrated record of service at the departmental, institutional, national, and/or international levels.

Academic rank and salary will be based on the incumbent’s qualifications, experience, and achievements, and in accordance with the Faculty Agreement. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package found at: www.hrs.ualberta.ca

This position is located in Edmonton, AB at the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy and Kaye Edmonton Clinic.
