Tenure-Track Position in Sport, Physical Activity, and Youth Development

We are seeking an individual who will have a broad mandate to advance social science and pedagogical knowledge in sport and physical activity among children, adolescents, or youth. We welcome applicants with culturally diverse research expertise and/or intersectional approaches that include issues linked to mental health, disability, gender, race, or other areas of diversity. The candidate must hold a PhD degree (post-doctoral experience an asset) in the social sciences or related discipline, with an emphasis on sport, physical activity, and/or pedagogy for children, adolescents, or youth. Must have an emerging and/or outstanding research profile demonstrated by excellent publications, national and international conference presentations, and an ability to attract external funding. Will also be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels in, but not limited to, some of the following areas: youth and physical. Specific teaching contributions are expected in, but not limited to, some of the following areas: youth and physical activity, physical and health education curriculum, and evaluation in pedagogy.
