Algoma University invites applications for a 2-year contractually-limited term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, at its Brampton campus, commencing July 1, 2023, or as negotiated. Preference will be given to candidates with a completed Ph.D. and a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and research. We are seeking a candidate with expertise in any area of psychology, with a demonstrated relevant academic background, research portfolio and a record of teaching excellence. Experience with remote/online/hybrid instruction is desirable.

Candidates should submit:

● a letter of application

● a current CV

● a statement of teaching philosophy and evidence of teaching effectiveness (e.g., examples of peer and/or student evaluations)

● a research plan (up to two single-spaced pages)

● sample publications

● the names, contact information and relationship of five referees (one of whom should be the most recent immediate supervisor)
