Instructor 1 - Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy

The Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy invites applications for a full-time (1.0FTE) position at the rank of Instructor I (tenure track).The successful applicant will join a stellar academic community and contribute to developing the next generation of occupational therapists.

The Department offers a Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program, collaborates in the delivery of MRSc, MSc, and PhD programs in rehabilitation sciences and offers post-doctoral fellowship opportunities. The incumbent will engage in teaching both theory and clinical practice skills courses using diverse methods and online learning tools, participate in course planning, lead curriculum development, and engage in student evaluation in the Master of Occupational Therapy Program. The incumbent will participate in administrative and service activities, such as departmental and university committees.

The successful applicant must be registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC (COTBC) and be a member of Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists – BC (CAOT-BC), have a minimum of 5 years practice experience as an occupational therapist and clinical teaching in the areas of mental health and physical disability across the lifespan. The applicant must have a minimum of 3 years teaching in an academic setting that includes curriculum development, preparing, delivering and evaluating lecture and laboratory content in a Masters of Occupational Therapy program. Salary will be commensurate with level of educational preparation and experience. Review of applications will begin January 4, 2018
