ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
Applications are invited for a tenure-track, teaching-stream (4/4 course load) position in 
Sociology. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach core sociological courses such 
as Introduction to Sociology and Introduction to Research Methodology, and capacity to teach 
elective courses in a variety of areas. Course descriptions may be found online at

Main responsibilities for this position will include:
•    Instruction and assessment of students in the relevant course content, adhering to learning 
outcomes
•    Maintaining excellent communication with students, staff, faculty, and Area Chair
•    Meeting the requirements for teaching and service (as outlined in the Collective Agreement)
•    Ability to expand on current course offerings within Sociology

APPOINTMENT START DATE: July 1, 2027

QUALIFICATIONS
•    A PhD in Sociology (must be in hand by date of the appointment)
•    Previous teaching experience (preferred)
