Assistant Teaching Professor
The School of Exercise Science, Physical & Health Education invites applications for a teaching position in the area of Kinesiology. The appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor commencing on July 1, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful applicant will normally teach 12 units (8 courses) of undergraduate course work over 3 terms.

Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in Kinesiology or equivalent, have demonstrated excellence in post-secondary teaching, and will have a demonstrated ability to develop undergraduate student competencies in:

1. theoretical & practical clinical skills in cardiorespiratory &/or orthopaedic rehabilitation;
2. exercise prescription in healthy populations;
3. other core kinesiology fundamental course work.

The following will be considered assets:

• Understanding of national kinesiology professional body initiatives
• Expertise in kinesiology related certification (CSEP – CPT, CEP instructor, SCC)
• Evidence of contributions to curriculum and program development
• Experience with practicum based learning
• Development & implementation of culturally transformed curricula
• Demonstrated ability to lead as well as be a supportive team member;
• Evidence of a high degree of collegiality
