Applications are invited for a full-time probationary instructor position in Management Information Systems (MIS) in the Department of Accounting and Finance in the I. H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba. The appointment may be at the rank of Instructor I, Instructor II, or Senior Instructor, depending on experience and qualifications. The start date for the appointment is July 1, 2024. On initial appointment an instructor will be given a two-year probationary period. The maximum probationary period for an instructor is four (4) years. Salary is competitive, and salary and rank will depend on qualifications, experience, as well as teaching record.

Duties for the position include teaching at Undergraduate and Graduate levels, and professional service (for the School, the University, and the Community). Candidates applying must have at least completed a Master’s degree or its equivalent in MIS or Business Analytics, or a related field. The successful candidate must have the ability to teach Business Analytics courses. At the Instructor I rank, candidates must have demonstrated success in teaching MIS or Business Analytics courses at a University or equivalent position. At the Instructor II rank, candidates must have five (5) or more years' experience teaching MIS or Business Analytics courses at a University or equivalent position. At the Senior Instructor rank, candidates must hold a doctoral degree or its equivalent in MIS or Business Analytics, or a related field, and have ten (10) or more years' experience teaching MIS or Business Analytics courses at a University or equivalent position. The normal teaching load for the position is eight (8) courses per year.

The I. H. Asper School of Business is the principal business school in the Province of Manitoba and is accredited by AACSB. The School offers undergraduate, MFin, MBA, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees.
