Furthermore, experience and interest in developing or extending experiential learning opportunities, including practicum experiences; internships, study abroad and co-curricular activities is highly desirable. The successful candidate will show aptitude for working in team situations; an interest in innovative inter-disciplinary teaching.

Applicants will have a record of research productivity commensurate with their experience and an ability to incorporate their research into applied learning opportunities for students, particularly in the scholarship of teaching and learning, given our focus as a teaching-intensive university. Research and teaching specialization in at least one, and preferably several, of the following areas is required: curriculum, assessment, learning sciences, TVET, disability studies, health, Indigenization and DEDI, and SEL/mindfulness. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in practice- and/or community-oriented research with a demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice.

The successful applicant will be expected to actively participate in departmental activities, service, events, and initiatives. The successful applicant will have a demonstrable ability to collaborate/interact effectively with external bodies or agencies. We particularly encourage applications from Indigenous scholars or teachers or researchers with experience of racialization or colonization. All else being equal, we will consider diversity of the candidate to enhance the diversity of the ADED team.
