About the Department

The Department currently offers a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics, including a co-op stream, a BSc/BEd concurrent education program, and an MSc in Mathematics and Statistics. In addition, the Department is part of joint programs in Data Science, including a BSc in Data Science with streams in Computational Data Sciences and Financial Analytics, and a PhD program in Intelligent Systems and Data Science. The proposed hire will bring expertise in teaching undergraduate courses in mathematics for our BSc programs.

About the Position 
The Faculty of Mathematics and Science invites applicants for a 12-month Instructional Limited Term Appointment (ILTA) in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2025. The ILTA position workload is 80% teaching (eight 0.5 credit undergraduate courses) with the remaining 20% split between research and service in consultation with the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Science.

Qualifications  
We seek candidates with a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field by the time of the appointment and a proven record of teaching excellence.
