TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION IN PSYCHOLOGY

The Department of Psychology invites applications for a Tenure-Track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin 1st July 2027, subject to budgetary approval. Hiring salary will be in the range of $89,064 and $102,100 per year, with starting salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. We are seeking a colleague whose teaching and research focus on any aspect of human cognition, social psychology, or individual differences. Outstanding candidates should also be able to teach a range of junior- and senior-level undergraduate courses in their area of expertise. They will establish and sustain an independent, externally funded research program, demonstrate excellence in engaging and inspiring undergraduate and graduate students, and contribute actively to departmental programs and curriculum development. It is imperative that the successful applicant holds a Ph.D. and at least one graduate degree in Psychology.

The Department of Psychology has an enthusiastic group of faculty members with diverse and active research programs. Our interests range across various areas of experimental, social and forensic psychology, to sociocultural behaviour in humans and other animals, and aspects of animal communication. The department has an established graduate program and a thriving undergraduate student culture, encouraged through faculty involvement.

Our Application Process:
All applications must be submitted online, and include a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching interests and philosophy, outlines of courses previously taught, a statement of research program, teaching evaluations (if available), and the contact information for three references (references will be contacted directly for short-listed candidates).

The initial deadline for applications is 28 September 2026, but the position will remain open until the short-list of candidates is finalized.
