Lakehead University, Barrie Campus, invites applications for a Limited Term Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. The academic rank of the appointment will be commensurate with the qualifications of the successful candidate. The position will commence on August 15, 2024.

Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to teaching at the under-graduate level with an excellent teaching record and demonstrated potential for scholarly research. Candidates for the position should possess or be nearing completion of a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics. Experience with experiential learning and online or alternative modes of course delivery is highly desired.

We are looking for a candidate with the ability to teach Math in support of several programs in the Lakehead-Georgian Partnership (primarily the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science programs) at Lakehead University (Barrie) cam-pus. Lakehead offers innovative, four-year combined degree-diploma programs with Georgian College in Barrie. Our programs offer students the opportunity to earn a university degree and college diploma in four years of full-time study.
