The Baccalauréat en éducation française (le Bac) program in the Faculty of Education at the University of Regina is inviting applications for an Instructor II position in minority language education—specifically in Francophone/French immersion school contexts—with a start date of January 1, 2026

Duties: Depending on their area of specialization and experience, the successful candidate will teach six courses in one or more of the following subjects: assessment and evaluation, inclusive education, student development, health and physical education, Core Studies, mathematics, Educational Leadership, and French language and literacy (reading and writing), at either the elementary or secondary level. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the candidate will supervise le Bac students during field placements, support their French language proficiency, and actively participate in collegial processes and institutional governance.

They must demonstrate strong proficiency in both oral and written French, along with fluency (oral and written) in English. Eligibility for a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate is required, along with a strong teaching background—ideally at the secondary level, though elementary experience is also valued. While a relevant Master’s or PhD is preferred, applicants with a Bachelor’s degree and substantial teaching experience will also be considered.

Salary Range: Depending on qualifications and experience, normally in the Instructor II range ($82,426 - $99,928) as per the URFA Collective Agreement.

Starting Date: January 1, 2026 (a three-year term with the possibility of extension)

Candidates who are short-listed will be required to have three letters of reference and provide original transcripts addressed and sent to the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Regina, 3737 Wascana Parkway,
