Assistant Professor in Health and Physical Education

Western University

The Faculty of Education, Western University, invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in the area of health and physical education. The salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. The preferred start date of this appointment is July 1, 2022.
 
Candidates must have earned a completed Ph.D. degree in education or related field with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who also have a focus in technology enhanced learning and pedagogy, and have a degree and professional qualifications in teacher education.
 
Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence, which can be demonstrated by a record of relevant publications in health and physical education and technology enhanced learning. The successful candidate will teach and contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of health and physical education, and technology enhanced learning in related programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the Bachelor of Education in the area of health and physical education. The successful candidate will supervise graduate students and participate in community service within and beyond the Faculty of Education. Candidates are encouraged to engage with one of our five research centres.
