Assistant Professor, Operations Management

University of Winnipeg

The Department of Business & Administration at The University of Winnipeg invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the discipline of Operations Management (with a specific, but not necessarily required, focus in innovation and technology management).

The Department of Business & Administration in the Faculty of Business & Economics at The University of Winnipeg invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the discipline of Operations Management (with a specific, but not necessarily required, focus in innovation and technology management). Expected start date can be as early as July 1, 2019 but this is negotiable. This position is subject to budgetary approval. Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Business and Administration Department (www.uwinnipeg.ca/business) is among the largest in the University. It offers both a 3-year and 4-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree based on an innovative interdisciplinary approach to business education emphasizing social and ethical responsibility. The 4-year BBA provides concentration options, and developing an Operations Management concentration is a goal over the next few years. The Department also offer a Master’s program in technology and innovation management with in-person and online course delivery formats.

Qualifications
Candidates require a PhD (completed or near completion). Selection will be based on potential and/or demonstrated strength in research, teaching, and service. We seek individuals committed to meaningful contribution to Departmental governance, respectful collaboration within and across the University, and constructive problem-solving.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an independent, externally fundable research program. Teaching responsibilities may include online course development and delivery.
