Limited-Term Contract in Sociology (Sault Ste. Marie Campus)

Algoma University invites applications for a two-year contractually-limited term appointment in Sociology at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, at its Sault Ste. Marie campus, commencing on January 1, 2022 or as negotiated. Preference will be given to candidates with a completed doctoral degree in Sociology and a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and research. We are seeking a candidate with expertise in critical sociology with a focus on Indigenous knowledge including the current conversations on decolonization, a demonstrated relevant academic background and a record of teaching excellence. Experience with remote/online/hybrid instruction is desirable.
